Soundtrack work
Secret Of The Rainforest
I composed and recorded the soundtrack, with inspiration from the local musicians at Casa Kukama, where the film was made. I also did some animation on the project. It was an absolute joy to get to hear and record the musicians, who you can hear sampled at different points in the final edition of the music.
Sassuma Arnaa
This soundtrack was created in collaboration with Mads Kruse and the children and people at the Ummanaq Children's Home. It features an original song written and performed by Jane Sakæussen, as well as some traditional inuit throat singing and Greenlandic drums. It was incredibly cool to learn about these musical traditions, and in general a really wonderful experience to be back at the children's home for another project! As with other Perlefilm projects above, I also did some animation work as well as the soundtrack.
Kaassasuk the Orphan
Our first project with the Ummanaq Children's Home and my first time creating the soundtrack for a full short film. Featuring some wonderful collaborations that still sit with me freshly, notably getting to record traditional drums and song with Navarana K'avigak, getting to record the fantastic blues player Guy Davies' guitar for the outtro track, and of course working with the children and young people at the children's home.
Personal projects
I composed and recorded this album of piano pieces after playing during Florafabula's workshops. It is a collection of ideas that have brewed for a long time, some since I was in my late teens.
